We assumed that her name wasn’t really Selia, but in fact, we never knew much about her. There were references to a daughter but nothing substantive. When we first worked with her, we didn’t expect her to model nude. So, we were more than a bit surprised when she moved quickly from a dress to lingerie to nude. Like isis and Innana after her, Selia was very comfortable nude – in fact she might have been more comfortable nude than she was dressed.
There is a sense of “incompleteness” when we look at this body of work. Not that she wasn’t up to the task. There is no doubt that she was. There was just more…….
