SOmewhere in the distant past, Falcon had seen the photograph of the ruins under an old tree drapped with Spanish moss. At a local book store, JD had found a book that detailed the location of some famous ruins in the south. There he found Olde Sheldon Church.

In August, 2008, on theor way to Miami on assignment, JD and Falcon managed to find the ruins. It was late afternon and it had rained. Dank and wet the air hung close to the face of the earth. It wasn't as Falcon had expected. On a meticulously manicured lawn was the burned out shell of he church. On the front of the church there was a plagued that told the world that the church had been burned twice: Once by the British and then a second time by the Yankees. After the second time, the decision was made to leave the church as it was. And yet, almost 150 years later, descendents of the families that once built the church, now tended to its remains. They worked until near darkness and then returned to the road that would take them to Savannah. Falcon returned in 2009 with isis on their way to Rayn's wedding in Savannah. Once again, it rained and the air was wet and heavy.

This collection is distinctive in man ways. The "films" used on the original digital images are designed to capture the experience of heavy, wet air on the texture of the brick. The brick itself is worn and open to the weather and its pourousness seems to hold thousands of memories. "As I stood at the back of the church, near the tombstones," said Falcon when asked about the ruins, 'there was an overwhelming sense of sadness and grief that seemed to linger with the rain that was never far away. Longered as though time had stopped forever the last time the church burned."
